Complaints Mount, But Few U.S. Firms Dare Provoke China

A line may have been crossed in China's relations with U.S. and other Western companies as Google threatens to pull out of the country. But the sticking point has more to do with intellectual property theft than human rights or privacy, analysts say.
Google (GOOG) said on Tuesday that it will stop cooperating with Chinese Internet censors and may shut its operations in China, following a spate of cyberattacks last week on its computers and dozens of other U.S. tech firms, mostly in Silicon Valley.
